About Capitol Grocery
Established in 1914, Capitol Grocery is the oldest operating grocery store in Baton Rouge. Nestled in the center of Spanish Town, the oldest neighborhood in the city, it serves as a gathering place for the many diverse residents of the area. Artists, families, judges, musicians, politicians, students, construction workers, and everyone in between all call this culture-rich neighborhood their home. It is home to the Spanish Town Parade, the oldest Mardi Gras parade in Baton Rouge, drawing thousands of people every year.
Breakfast is available from 8:00 AM until 10:30 PM, Monday through Saturday.
Brunch specials are available from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturdays Only.
The Daily Lunch Specials are available from 10:30 AM until 3:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
